    Dear members,

Due to the lack of volunteer commitment, the Sunday morning membership attendance will be suspended for the time being.

Orientation will be held as set on the Calendar dates and Tony Cella, our orientation coordinator, will provide the new members their cards and keys upon completion of their orientation dates.

For persons who renew or apply online your application will be completed as soon as we have someone is able to do so.

We apologize for this inconvenience, hopefully we will be ready once again in September.

    Trish Dobson

    Membership coordindator.

    Hello all,

Again this year, we will be having Elphinstone Property Care mowing the lawns at the Lower Range. This will start on March 22, and they will mow every two weeks, with changes due to rain and extreme dry periods.

All the lower ranges (including the Indoor) will be closed for safety reasons from 1:30 PM until 6:00 PM on these mowing days. Please see the Calendar for updates as they occur.

    Thank you for your cooperation!

In order to comply with the recent PHO, we put out a notice saying that organized gatherings were not allowed, which cancelled Sunday breakfast, membership and orientations. It also affected gatherings in the indoor range, such that we thought it best to leave it closed, along with the Clubhouse.

Since then, individuals have been asking about using the indoor range. While organized gatherings are not allowed, because it puts people in a concentrated area and therefore at high risk of Covid, members wish to shoot at the indoor range can do so.

As well, orientations have moved to be held outdoors, and membership services are still on, with only one person allowed into the clubhouse at a time, Sundays from 0900-1030 hrs.

Please understand that the PHO regulations are quite broad, and the Board does the best it can to interpret them and provide direction to our members in order to keep everyone safe.

    Thank you for your cooperation.

    Hello members,

Recently, a substantial amount of split and stacked firewood was taken from the Pinecone camping fire pit. This represented a substantial amount of work for one of our members, and we were counting on using it for our New Year's shoot yesterday.

This wood was taken since our snowfall, there are tire tracks and footprints in the snow.

If anyone has any information at all regarding this incident, please contact any board member and bring the details forward. Anonymity will be guaranteed.

We want to remind everyone that just because you are a member of the club, it DOES NOT imply permission to remove anything from any club property that you did not bring there yourself. That is outright theft.

We are trying very hard to get our club back on its feet after some difficult years, not to mention the problems that Covid has brought to the table.

Please keep this in mind when using the facilities.

    Hello members,

The road to the club has been closed, it is sheer ice, and therefore we will not be able to run membership services today at the club.

    Thanks for your understanding.

    Dear members,

With the recent upswing in Covid cases, the PHO has issued new restrictions that affect our club.

As per the PHO, effective at 23:59 Wednesday December 22, 2021, indoor organized gatherings of any size are not allowed. To comply with this order, and its intent, we have decided to suspend the following activities until further notice:

    1) Sunday breakfast

    2) All indoor range activity

    3) Orientations, since part of it takes place in the clubhouse.

    4) Normal Sunday membership services will be suspended with the exception that Trish will take your information at the door, process your membership, and give you your keys, cards and badges outside. You are not permitted to enter the clubhouse. There will be no membership services on Boxing Day.

As the PHO either increases or rescinds restrictions, we act accordingly to keep our club members safe.

The best of the season to all members from the Board of Directors.

    Hello all,

For this event on Jan 1, 2022, from 10:30 am onwards until end of day, the 300 meter rifle range will be closed.

Only .22 cal rifles and pistols will be allowed at the Multi-use pit as well.

This is to avoid heavy gunfire in other areas of the range while there is a cease fire during the .22 Free and Fun Shoot.

    Thank you for your cooperation

    Hello all members,

The Club is going to put on a .22 rimfire metal silhouette shoot on New Year's Day 2022! The fun starts at 10:30 am and goes until, well, not too sure. As long as we want!

This will be a completely free shoot at the Pinecone Range, everyone is welcome to come and shoot, or just watch the fun and chat with your friends.

Free hot dogs and pop will be provided for everyone, and there will be a warm fire, or fires as it may turn out, to stand around and stay warm.

For this event, the main gate to the Pinecone will be left open. It will be closed and locked at the end of the shoot.

We hope to see lots of members there, both new and long term, to renew the comradery that has been the backbone of our club for years.

Looking very much forward to seeing you there!
